About the Role
This site based role works along side site supervisors, engineers, and project managers. The Site Quantity Surveyor is responsible for site-level cost tracking, quantity verification, progress measurement, and commercial reporting. Operating across a rolling portfolio of active projects, the QS ensures cost control, claim substantiation, and alignment between field progress and commercial outcomes. The role supports planning and program tracking and provides commercial guidance to delivery teams.
Responsibilities
* Measure and verify quantities of completed work across multiple sites
* Track subcontractor and supplier performance against scope
* Support preparation of monthly claims with accurate data inputs
* Provide input on variations and cost impacts due to program changes
* Update lookaheads based on actual quantities and performance rates
* Reconcile actuals against program expectations and budget forecasts
* Highlight cost implications of access delays, sequencing issues, or productivity variances
* Record daily outputs, labour, plant, and material use to support defensible cost tracking
* Ensure data for claims and reports is accurate, complete, and auditable
* Flag emerging commercial risks to Project Manager and Commercial Manager
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (essential)
* 2+ years' experience in a civil construction commercial or QS role
* Proficient in cost tracking, claims, measurement, and reconciliation
* Familiar with contract structures and site reporting processes
* Attention to detail and strong analytical capability
* Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise deliverables
* Strong communicator with high standards for documentation and integrity
* White Card & Australian Drivers Licence
