**A not-for-profit organisation based in Melbourne is looking to add a Data Specialist with Raisers' Edge knowledge to their team. This role will initially be a Fixed-Term-Contract but it has the potential to turn into an ongoing position.**
The Database Specialist is responsible for optimizing the use of the Raiser's Edge (RE) database and supporting the organisations Marketing and Fundraising teams.
In this role you would get involved in some of the following:
- Co-ordination of RE processes and procedures on a daily basis
- Work on ad-hoc data and reporting requests, including complex data extracts.
- Identify and recommend improved procedures for data management and develop maps to streamline operations and improve data quality.
- Work to ensure code tables and data structures remain current and business-focused.
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data on the database; implementing quality control mechanisms; overseeing data entry and import process.
- Training and development of database users across the organisation
- Provide expertise and technical support to database users on database issues, identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems, working with Blackbaud and other suppliers as needed.
**Skills Desired**:
- Experience in database coordination.
- Proficiency with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM.
- Strong IT skills, including Access and advanced Excel.
