Venue and Technical Services Officer – City Campus
WAAPA, part of Edith Cowan University, is looking for a Venue and Technical Services Officer to join our growing team at the City Campus.
The Venues and Technical Operations team is responsible for the operation, maintenance and lifecycle planning of all venue technical systems. This position supports the efficient operation of systems and resources that support teaching and productions through a coordinated team approach.
Reporting to the Manager, Venues and Technical Services, this role requires a fusion of technical expertise, general knowledge and practical experience to achieve the institution's multifaceted objectives.
Qualifications
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules and logistics efficiently.
* Highly developed technical problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate, identify and analyse problems, and their source causes and related issues.
* Ability to act autonomously, take initiative, adapt, and pay attention to detail.
* Ability to balance and prioritise tasks without losing sight of desired outcomes and remain proactive.
* Efficient written and oral communication skills.
* Current high‑risk work licences and safety certifications (e.g. EWP, Working at Heights, White Card) or willingness to obtain.
Experience in Performing Arts or a relevant discipline, OR equivalent expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation. Demonstrate personal attributes congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.
Remuneration & Benefits
This full‑time, fixed‑term (2 years) position offers remuneration of $84,470 to $93,865 pa (HEW 5) plus 17 % university superannuation contribution. ECU provides flexible working arrangements, generous leave entitlements, a health & wellbeing program, and access to a range of employee benefits.
