* Roster 4/4 (Monday to Thursday)

Our Sulphuric Acid Plant at Mount Isa collects cleans sulphur dioxide before converting it first to sulphur trioxide, then to liquid sulphuric acid. The acid is then railed to Phosphate Hill in specially designed GATX wagons. The Sulphuric Acid Plant has the capacity to produce 3,700 tonnes per day and is committed to producing it without harm to people or the environment.


The Role

As a valuable member of the Mount Isa Acid plant team, this role is responsible for ensuring plant electrical equipment meets statutory and regulatory requirements. This role will also see you;

* Provide technical leadership to the Sulphuric Acid Plant Maintenance Team, delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective electrical maintenance solutions.
* Lead small capital projects (up to $1M) and develop robust project briefs to support larger plant improvement initiatives.
* Drive plant reliability and availability through RCM implementation, preventative maintenance optimisation and RCA/FMEA methodologies.
* Champion Zero Harm by ensuring compliance with HSE standards and embedding behavioural safety leadership across the plant.
* Manage and improve planned outages, maintenance strategies and asset performance for a $500M operation.
* Control and report project and maintenance costs, contributing to budget development and sustainable lowest-cost modelling.
* Leading electrical, instrumentation and control system reliability and integrity

What You'll Bring
* You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high performance culture.
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering with broad experience in a heavy industrial or chemical processing plant environment.
* Demonstrated success improving plant reliability, availability and maintenance performance in complex operating environments.
* Strong technical capability in high-voltage systems, SAP Maintenance, and reliability tools including RCA and FMEA.
* Proven ability to deliver cost-effective maintenance solutions, control project costs and contribute to budget planning.
* A proactive safety mindset with the ability to influence teams, drive continuous improvement and lead through behavioural safety principles.
