About the position
RISE4SkinCancer is funded by the MRFF and represents a partnership between the VVMCRHR, Loddon Mallee Integrated Cancer Services, Monash University and multiple industry partners, including the Department of Health (Vic), Murray PHN, Bendigo Health, Bendigo Community Health Services and Loddon Mallee Aboriginal Reference Group.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Lead Investigator, and duties will involve planning, implementation, operational leadership, budget planning and management, and partner engagement for the project. It also requires some communications/marketing planning and oversight.
Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated knowledge of the structure, funding mechanisms, and policy environment of the Victorian health system, including the roles of state and federal government, Primary Health Networks, and local health services.
* Strong understanding of rural and regional health service delivery, including workforce challenges, access barriers, and service integration across geographically dispersed communities.
* Proven knowledge of primary care systems in Australia, including General Practice operations, multidisciplinary care models, and coordination between primary, community, and tertiary services.
* Demonstrated familiarity with national and state strategies, guidelines, and policy frameworks relating to skin cancer and melanoma detection and management.
* Understanding of culturally responsive communication and engagement strategies across diverse populations and service settings.
* Experience with consumer engagement in health services and/or research.
* Experience and skills to lead and implement intersectoral collaboration within a population health framework
