This role supports student wellbeing and mental health in primary and secondary schools across the Metropolitan South Region, including Brisbane South, Brisbane West, Bayside (including islands), Ipswich, and Laidley district areas. Psychologists and Provisional Psychologists will work collaboratively within school communities to provide evidence‐based support and interventions that make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individual and group targeted intervention to students, parents, and families
* Offer comprehensive support to families to enhance student wellbeing
* Identify when students require external mental health support and facilitate warm referrals
* Maintain confidential records and data systems in line with departmental policies
* Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team and engage with school, community, and inter‐agency networks
