We are currently recruiting individuals who are experienced in Youth Work, to support young people from some of Australia's leading NGOs in the Newcastle & Central Coast region. Responsibilities
* Assist with general daily routines of the young people you will be supporting.
* Medication administration, meal preparation, domestic chores, personal care, running everyday errands and creating fun activities.
* Help young people conquer challenges – from homework to healthy habits.
* Be their trusted guide – provide transportation and facilitate meaningful connections with families.
* Keep detailed records – shift notes completed and recorded each day.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, or similar.
* Minimum 6 months+ paid experience managing challenging behaviours in youth work.
* Essential checks and qualifications – National Police Check, Working With Children Check (WWCC), First Aid and CPR.
* A valid driver's license and a reliable car, with willingness to drive the young people you support to desired destinations (kms reimbursed).
* TCI training is preferable and becoming an industry standard.
