A unique opportunity exists for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with exceptional leadership and clinical skills to join the Perioperative Department at a private hospital in North Newcastle. It is a permanent full-time role.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Perioperative Floor Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing operational direction for the department to ensure efficient and effective management of the area and coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based;
* Providing leadership and direction to the Perioperative Department to complement the strategic direction, operational processes and business direction of the hospital/facility;
* Being accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources and ensure customer service is maintained at optimal levels;
* Undertaking direct patient care as required providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the nursing team.
REQUIREMENTS
* Current registration with AHPRA;
* Tertiary qualification in management (or working towards);
* Minimum 4 years experience in the Perioperative Department;
* Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care;
* High degree of computer literacy including MS office;
* Ability to work cohesively within a team environment;
* Proven time management and prioritisation skills;
* A sound knowledge base in labour management and rostering.
