Clinical Nurse Consultant - Sectorwide Rehab

Location: Negotiable within the Northwestern sector of Hunter New England LHD
Remuneration: $131,870.90 - $134,500.70 p.a + 12% Super + Salary Packaging

Travel: Requires travel across the Tablelands, Peel & Mehi sectors; a current driver's licence is required. Working hours are Monday – Friday; there are no night or weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical consultancy across hospital, community, and district-wide rehabilitation services to support safe, effective, and person-centred care.
- Guide complex clinical decision-making and promote interdisciplinary collaboration to optimise functional recovery and quality of life for patients and carers.
- Deliver expert advice and support to clinicians and services regarding complex rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and deliver specialised education programs to address complex clinical issues impacting patients, families, and carers.
- Translate current scientific research into rehabilitation practice to align with contemporary evidence and best practice guidelines.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and health sectors to enhance service planning, quality improvement, and integration of rehabilitation care at local and district-wide levels.
- Promote rehabilitation approaches that empower patients and families, enhance self-management, and strengthen community participation and quality of life.
Responsibilities – Support and Working Arrangements
You will be supported by the Nurse Manager of Armidale Community Health Service and a transition period from the former CNC. A range of multidisciplinary staff across facilities will provide support, including nursing, medical, allied health, and operational management. The teams are open and collegial and support professional growth.

Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
- At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in this specialty field
- Approved postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to the field of practice
- Eligibility to drive in NSW
Additional Information
