Administration Assistant

About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a capable and motivated individual to join our team at Barrier Group's national headquarters in North Geelong as an Administration Assistant.

This role keeps our business running efficiently and supports our people to perform at their best. It suits someone with robust organisational skills and experience in administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Office Administration

- Coordinate office service providers including utilities, telecommunications, printing, cleaning services and general amenities.

- Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment.

- Update business intranet resources as directed, including policies, templates, and the organisation chart.

- Maintain databases of business records including those relating to vehicles, software, IT equipment, contracts and insurance policies.

- Prepare and distribute internal communications.

- Provide general administrative support as required.

People

- Organise company events and meetings, including venue reservations and catering.

- Maintain employee records (leave, personal details, licences, qualifications, and asset allocations).

- Administer the staff uniform program, including vendor management and allowances.

- Coordinate pre-employment checks and onboarding.

Business Support

- Manage company vehicle registrations, roadside assistance coverage, insurance policies and claims.

- Assist Finance with timekeeping, leave management and payroll data entry.

- Support Sales by completing customer onboarding forms.

- Undertake other business support tasks as needed.

About You

You are a dependable and highly organised individual with an aptitude for administration. You demonstrate sound judgement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Your key attributes and skills will include:

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience in administration or office management.

- Able to work independently or collaboratively.

- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, with SharePoint experience highly regarded.
