Monash Health Radiology is seeking a qualified Medical Imaging Technologist (Radiographer) to join our rapidly growing workforce at Casey Hospital. Our MITs work across multiple modalities. Services at Casey Hospital include General X‐ray, Theatre, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, Fluoroscopy and Angiography. We provide an imaging service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Over the next few years, there are many new exciting developments that you could be a part of. This includes the expansion of the Casey Emergency Department and the introduction of the new Cranbourne and Pakenham Community Hospitals. This position is appropriate for both newly graduated Radiographers and those who have been practising for a number of years.
Radiology Program Details
Monash Health Radiology incorporates a full range of services including CT, US, MRI, DEXA, PET, Nuclear Medicine, X‐ray, Lithotripsy, OPG, Mammography, Fluoroscopy and Interventional and Therapeutic imaging services at the Monash Medical Centre, Monash Children's Hospital, Dandenong Hospital; Casey Hospital, Moorabbin Hospital, Kingston Centre, Victorian Heart Hospital and the Pakenham Health Centre, Pakenham. Monash Health Radiology also supports the Monash University Biomedical Imaging site including MRI and PET MRI. The service provides over 365,000 imaging examinations per year across all sites, currently employs approximately 500 EFT and has a gross operating budget in excess of $100M.
About the Role and You
We currently have positions for a full‐time and a part‐time staff appointment.
You will be working as part of the Radiology team providing quality diagnostic imaging care to emergency, inpatients and outpatients. Your ability to succeed in this role will be maximized if you can demonstrate a high standard of general X‐ray and CT capabilities. You will be able to demonstrate:
* Motivation to succeed
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to work solo and in a team environment
* Excellent radiographic skills with RIS/PACS experience is preferable
