Transport for NSW is embarking on a bold Procurement Transformation Program. We're establishing a dedicated, centralised Procurement branch within our Finance, Technology & Commercial Division.
This is a rare opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of procurement in NSW. As we implement a new procurement operating model, you'll be at the forefront of driving reform and innovation across all procurement functions at Transport for NSW, one of the largest procuring agencies in the country.
In this role you'll
* Lead and continuously improve Transport's end‐to‐end procurement policy and governance framework, ensuring alignment with NSW Government requirements, legislation and industry best practice.
* Draft, maintain and modernise procurement policies, procedures and templates, embedding strong compliance, risk management, and fraud‐ and corruption‐prevention controls.
* Champion social, sustainable and ethical procurement, and promote responsible practices across the organisation.
* Partner with senior leaders and cross‐functional teams to develop innovative procurement solutions, provide expert governance advice and influence strategic decision‐making.
* Drive consultation and engagement across Transport for NSW to ensure procurement policy changes are understood, supported and effectively embedded.
* Lead and develop a high‐performing procurement policy team, excellence and continuous improvement.

About you:
You're a strategic procurement leader with extensive experience in developing and implementing procurement frameworks within complex organisations. Your deep understanding of public sector procurement policies, governance requirements and compliance frameworks is matched by your ability to influence, engage and drive meaningful change across large‐scale environments.
You bring strong stakeholder management capability and a proven record of forming collaborative, influential relationships with senior leaders, peers and cross‐functional teams. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to articulate complex concepts with clarity, craft high‐quality documentation, and effectively shape decision‐making to achieve positive organisational outcomes.
You have demonstrated success in leading teams through transformation, maintaining high performance, and navigating fast‐paced, challenging environments with confidence. Your success is underpinned by tertiary qualifications or equivalent extensive experience, complemented by comprehensive knowledge of procurement best practice, governance frameworks and enterprise systems including SAP and Ariba.
