About the opportunity:
Our Finance team has an opportunity for an individual to join in the capacity of Finance Business Manager - Consolidation in our Pacific Zone of Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting to the Head of Business Finance, Pacific, based in Macquarie Park NSW, this key role involves delivering exceptional support to the business to drive profitable growth through financial analysis, business modeling, standardised reporting, process improvement, and systems analysis.
Key responsibilities:
* Support team leadership for the Business Finance team locally and offshore
* Ensure comprehensive, accurate, and timely performance measurement and reporting for all of Pacific (Australia and New Zealand management accounts)
* Drive the Business Review process for local and Zone business reviews
* Prepare monthly and quarterly performance results for the executive leadership team
* Conduct detailed analysis of results, providing insights and value-added recommendations
* Ensure timely and accurate delivery of quarterly planning and forecasting processes
* Challenge forecast inputs through independent analysis and modeling, including macroeconomic impact analysis
* Analyze business and market trends and opportunities
* Develop strategic long-term financial plans with the Strategy department
* Develop digital analytics and reporting to provide actionable insights
* Identify risks and opportunities, making recommendations to management
* Support business initiatives with modeling and analysis
* Foster an environment of continuous improvement
* Act as 2IC and deputize for the Head of Business Finance as needed
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
* Build trusted relationships with the business to influence decisions and outcomes
About you:
To succeed in this role, you should have 10+ years of experience in Commercial Finance within an ASX top 100 business or professional services, with proficiency in managing forecasting, budgets, projects, and transactional cycles across multiple business units in Australia and New Zealand.
Your personal drivers and confidence will be supported by a tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field, along with a desire to work for a value-based organization with leading-edge solutions.
