We are seeking a driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our NSW sales effort, combining hands‐on account leadership with deep electrical product knowledge and strategic collaboration across functions.
Role Overview
The Sales Manager will own the end‐to‐end sales cycle for solutions in NSW, from prospecting and solution design through to contract closure. You will blend strong electrical expertise with Sales leadership to develop and execute a high‐growth sales plan, build a high‐performing field team, and deliver sustainable revenue and margin growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and execute the NSW sales plan in alignment with corporate objectives, focusing on target industries (OEM, Mining, Renewables, Materials Handling, Power Gen, Utilities).
* Lead, coach, and develop a high‐performance sales team (account managers, business development, engineers) to achieve revenue, margin, and customer‐satisfaction targets.
* Own end‐to‐end sales activities: opportunity discovery, value‐based proposals, tender support, negotiations, and contract closure; expand strategic customer relationships.
* Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure compelling value propositions, pricing, and on‐time delivery.
* Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes; translate insights into differentiated offerings and competitive strategies.
* Prepare accurate forecasts and budgets; maintain CRM pipeline, forecasting, and reporting discipline; provide regular updates to leadership.
* Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety, and quality systems; promote safety and continuous improvement.
* Represent the company at industry events, briefs, and customer forums; cultivate a strong external presence.
* Drive partnerships, channel development, and pricing strategies to maximise penetration and profitability.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in electrical engineering, electromechanical, or a related field or a trade electrical qualification with strong product knowledge.
* Proven B2B sales track record in electrical solutions for OEMs, mining, renewables, materials handling, power generation, and utilities.
* Demonstrated success in leading high‐performance sales teams with measurable revenue and margin outcomes.
* Strong technical acumen; ability to translate complex electrical systems into compelling value propositions.
* Excellent stakeholder management, enterprise‐level negotiations, and consultative selling skills.
* Analytical, strategic thinker with CRM and sales analytics proficiency.
* Comfortable working in NSW, with willingness to travel as needed.
