We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Consultant Psychiatrist to lead one of the key work streams within our Adult Services as the Head of Unit.
This is more than a senior clinical role. It is an opportunity to influence the direction of adult mental health services within one of Victoria s largest public health networks.

The Role
* Provide senior clinical leadership within the Adult Service
* Lead and manage medical staff, both senior and junior, within your allocated unit
* Drive patient‐centred, rights‐based and evidence‐informed care
* Contribute to policy and process development
* Monitor service performance and promote continuous improvement
* Support the growth of innovative and connected models of care
You will work within a collegiate multidisciplinary environment where collaboration is valued and leadership is shared.
This role is suited to a psychiatrist who combines strong clinical expertise with confident leadership and a clear commitment to improving systems of care.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)
* Registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia
* Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022
* Relevant specialist psychiatric experience
* Proven clinical management experience
* Strong understanding of contemporary, evidence-based practiceExperience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams
* Knowledge of patient safety and quality review processes
