We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Educator for the Respiratory inpatient ward at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
About the Role
Royal Prince Alfred is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and offers specialty services from its main campus as well as from Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Chris O'Brien Lifehouse and Dame Edith Walker Hospitals. RPAH is one of Australia\'s leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialties include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants.
The Clinical Nurse Educator provides support and clinical development/training to staff while fostering a preceptor/mentor role. The role formulates, coordinates, and evaluates unit-based educational programs; assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures.
The aim of the position is to use a participation methodology to build:
* The capacity of individuals to deliver safe, evidenced-based care, incorporating reflective practice with the aim of continual improvement.
* A patient and family-focused culture that supports the NUM and staff to deliver innovative models of care and proactively manage change.
* The position contributes to the overall improvement of health service delivery.

Ideal Candidate
* Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and relevant post-registration experience in the specialty.
* Holds relevant clinical or education post-registration qualifications, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
* Available to work on a Monday to Friday roster.
