Project Accountant
This is a key position in our organization for a Project Accountant to support onshore Oil & Gas projects and joint ventures.
* Weekly operational reports and month-end financial reports are prepared
* Month-end accounting processes including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and cost allocations are assisted with
* Intercompany transaction reconciliation is performed
* Balance Sheet reconciliation is carried out
* JV Expenditure review and reporting is done
* Assistance is provided with processing and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS)
* Assistance is provided with the preparation of Financial Statements, Budgets and Forecasts
Requirements
* A qualified accountant with 4+ years of experience is required
* A background in project accounting, JV accounting and financial analysis is essential
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary
* Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheets is required
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations is also preferred.
