Are you a skilled Design & Construction Manager looking to make a real impact in a fast‑growing organisation? Flynn ANZ is searching for a dynamic project leader to drive the delivery of high‑quality new builds, refurbishments and remodels across the Wendy’s ANZ network.
As part of our Commercial/Development team, you’ll play a key role in managing the seamless design, construction and rollout of new restaurants and upgrades across the region, ensuring every project reflects the strength of the Wendy’s brand.

What you will do:
Project Management
* Lead end‑to‑end delivery of new builds, refurbishments and remodels.
* Develop design briefs, scopes and CAPEX packs from leasing and landlord documentation.
* Manage design, tenders, procurement, budgets and timelines.
* Conduct site meetings, inspections, defects management and final handovers.
* Reviews Development Application (DA) plans prior to submission to Council and the DA approval conditions
Prototype Improvement & CAPEX Optimisation
* Enhance design standards, materials and specifications.
* Drive value‑engineering and cost‑efficiency initiatives.
* Benchmark costs and identify opportunities to improve construction methods.
* Work with internal teams and suppliers to trial and implement improvements.
Financial Management
* Oversee all project financials and ensure delivery within approved budgets.
* Partner with the Development Director on scope, approvals and governance.
* Manage invoices, variations, claims and financial reporting.
What you will bring:
* 5+ years’ construction project management experience (retail/QSR preferred) with relevant tertiary qualification preferred.
* Ability to read technical drawings; intermediate AutoCAD (or similar).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder skills.
* Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple projects.
* Proactive problem‑solver with strong attention to detail.
* Able to work independently and in a team.
* Intermediate Microsoft Office; project software experience ( Monday.com is a plus).
