Base pay range
A$83,489.00/yr - A$143,093.00/yr
The Role
Embedded Developers work in integrated teams responsible for tackling complex and unusual problems to protect Australia and its national interests.
Key Duties:
ASD 4, 5 & 6 Embedded Developers in OE Branch:
- Build, break and rebuild software and hardware in order to understand its inner workings;
- Design and develop bespoke capabilities to support ASD’s most critical missions using a variety of programming languages;
- Participate in technical reviews and quality assurance activities to maintain the security and integrity of production capabilities;
- Undertake research and development looking for innovative ways to solve problems and achieve outcomes;
- Collaborate and share knowledge with teams across the National Intelligence Community and with international partners.
ASD EL1 Embedded Developers in OE Branch:
- Build, break and rebuild software and hardware in order to understand its inner workings;
- Lead the design and development of bespoke capabilities to support ASD’s most critical missions using a variety of programming languages;
- Provide technical leadership as members of integrated, agile teams;
- Mentor and develop existing and new staff;
- Complete code reviews and other quality control and testing activities to ensure the security and integrity of production capabilities;
- Undertake research and development looking for creative ways to solve problems and achieve outcomes;
- Collaborate and share knowledge with teams across the National Intelligence Community and with international partners.
