We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeping & Administration Assistant to support the financial and administrative operations of our busy earthmoving business. This role is heavily focused on bookkeeping and payroll, ensuring accurate financial records, timely payments, and smooth day-to-day office operations.
Experience within the construction, civil, or earthmoving industry will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
* Manage accounts payable and receivable in Xero
* Bank and credit card reconciliations
* Process supplier invoices and subcontractor payments
* Prepare and issue client invoices
* Payroll - Process weekly payroll for operators and staff; Maintain accurate employee records, timesheets, and leave balances; Ensure compliance with relevant awards and industry requirements; Manage superannuation and payroll reporting obligations
* Administration - General office administration and record keeping; Assist with compliance documentation, insurances, and licenses
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
* Experience processing payroll
* Working knowledge of Xero accounting software
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to multitask and prioritize workload

This role will be a part-time position but full-time will be considered for the right candidate.
