Job Description
As a result of significant project wins and our growth strategy, AECOM’s Resources + Industrial (R+I) Team is looking for a passionate and highly driven Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to further develop their career in leading power and energy projects. This role will support our current external clients and new pursuits, helping our team grow sustainably.
Typical engineering projects involve high‑voltage and low‑voltage electrical distribution and reticulation systems, as well as planning electrical generation and distribution systems for open cut and underground mines. You will work with a high‑performing team to deliver projects for clients such as Alcoa, South32 Worsley, Newmont, Goldfields, WA Water Corporation, and other industrial/infrastructure and public utility clients across Australia.
Responsibilities include:
* Demonstrated experience delivering Industrial/Infrastructure projects to a high standard, within budget and on time.
* Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
* Working knowledge of constructable designs, with operations and maintenance experience desirable.
* Passion for developing yourself as a future leader and for initiating our local Industrial sector strategy.
* Mentoring and leading teams while interacting with customers.
* 10+ years’ experience.
Your ability to mentor others, deliver on promise, and build/maintain strong client relationships will be key to your success.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent).
* Proven engineering/design experience within mining, local government, or heavy industry sectors.
* Exposure to the design and specification of industrial systems such as HV/LV distribution, controls and communications, safety systems, and motor controls.
* Proficiency in producing engineering documentation such as technical specifications, datasheets, reports, and scope of works.
