Mercantile Administration Officer – Work From Home when experienced (Casual, 20hrs/week)

Location: Adelaide or Brisbane Work From Home (Australia)
Employment Type: Casual

About the Role

We're seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Mercantile/Debt Collection Administration Officer to join our team on a work-from-home casual basis.

In this role, you'll support the day-to-day operations of our mercantile and collections team — managing client cases, preparing correspondence, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth communication between clients, agents, and internal staff.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys administrative work, thrives in a structured yet flexible environment, and can manage their workload independently.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide administrative support for mercantile, collections and Investigation operations.

* Prepare and send client correspondence, reports, and case updates.

* Answer telephone

* Assign field Agents

* Assist preparation in Affidavits

* Enter and maintain accurate case information in internal systems.

* Liaise with clients, field agents, and internal staff to follow up on active cases.

* Assist with invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting.

* Ensure compliance with relevant privacy and debt collection legislation.

* Maintain organised electronic records and case documentation.

What We're Looking For

* Strong administrative and organisational skills.

* Excellent written and verbal communication.

* High attention to detail and accuracy.

* Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

* Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.

* Experience in mercantile, collections, or legal administration is required if working from home.

* Minimum 6-12 months experience in mercantile, collections, or legal administration is required for work-from-home positions.

* Must have a reliable internet connection and suitable home office setup.

* Australian work rights are required for this position.
