Job Description
Singh Transit Pty Ltd t/a Motor Mate 4x4 is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full‐time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety, performance and manufacturer standards.

Task & Responsibilities
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using computerised diagnostic equipment and manual testing procedures
* Inspect, dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components to identify issues
* Repair or replace defective or worn mechanical parts such as brake pads, bearings, belts, gaskets and seals
* Reassemble engines and mechanical parts after repair and ensure proper function through testing
* Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, engine tune‐ups, lubrications, filter replacements and tyre rotations
* Perform safety and emissions compliance checks where required
* Operate diagnostic instruments and a variety of hand, power and air tools to complete repairs
* Conduct test drives after repairs to verify mechanical integrity and performance
* Maintain records of services and repairs, including customer reports and job sheets
* Communicate repair requirements and procedures to customers, including cost and time estimates
* Follow safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment
* Perform physical workshop tasks including lifting, bending and handling vehicle components
Qualifications & Experience
* AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field
* Minimum one year of relevant experience in a commercial automotive workshop
* Sound knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
* Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and power/hand tools
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Commitment to high‐quality workmanship and attention to detail
* Physically fit and capable of performing workshop tasks
* Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing if required
