Volunteer role
Nazareth Care - Geraldton is looking for Volunteer Bus Drivers. The purpose of this volunteer role is to assist with the transportation of frail, elderly residents to a range of activities including scenic drives, library or shopping, using either the Nazareth Care car or the minibus. Your passion and enthusiasm will play a pivotal role in enhancing the social, mental and physical wellbeing of our wonderful residents.
Responsibilities
* Transport frail, elderly residents to activities (scenic drives, library or shopping) using Nazareth Care car or minibus.
* Contribute to residents' social, mental and physical wellbeing through compassionate transport and support.
Qualifications
* A desire to make a positive difference to someone's life.
* A passion to help and assist the elderly with a warm, friendly disposition.
* A reasonable level of fitness is an inherent requirement of this role.
* Ability to build and maintain effective team relationships at all levels within the organisation.
* Strong customer service focus with a can do attitude.
* Demonstrated enthusiasm, commitment to the organisation's ethos, energy and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Collaborative working style and willingness to contribute to the team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* You would need to have a driver's licence and minimum 2 years of driving experience.
