Ideally someone who has underwriting experience for global/local banking clients within the Travel Business Unit.Role ResponsibilitiesTechnical Excellence & Case Underwriting: Oversee case underwriting to maintain competitiveness, profitability, and compliance for new and renewing deals.Remediation Activities: Execute remediation activities for the travel portfolio in alignment with the Travel LoB strategy.Collaboration & Compliance: Work with various teams to drive digitization, ensure technical excellence, and comply with underwriting guidelines.Case Underwriting Oversight: Manage case underwriting within Australia, New Zealand, and for global clients.Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with sales teams for client offers, both new and renewals.Pricing & Approvals: Ensure proper pricing and support APAC deals requiring higher-level approvals.Commercial Accounts Leadership: Lead underwriting for large accounts, particularly in banking.Growth & Profitability: Enable growth and improved profitability through underwriting activities.Pricing Team Collaboration: Ensure tariff-based book performance and initiate changes as needed.Compliance & Monitoring: Assure compliance with underwriting guidelines and monitor portfolio performance.Planning & Projections: Support planning processes and commercial margin projections.Product Risk Assessment & Portfolio Evaluation: Oversee fulfillment of action points from risk assessments and ensure proper reserves evaluation.Product Rollout: Work with product teams on new product rollouts and changes.Digital Tools Utilization: Drive the usage of digital tools like Sales Force and Pricing Tool.Capacity Planning & Prioritization: Collaborate with business teams to align capacity and prioritization with strategy.QualificationsBackground: Actuarial or financial background required.Experience: Minimum five years in portfolio monitoring, underwriting, or insurance.Experience in travel insurance and with banking clients is a plus.Management: Experience managing virtual multinational teams.Language & Communication: Fluency in English and strong communication skills.Cultural Openness: Willingness to work internationally across cultures.Allianz Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
