**About the Project**
Bechtel, a global leader in project management, engineering, procurement and construction, has been selected by Western Sydney Airport Co as its Delivery Partner for the Western Sydney Airport, a $5.3 billion greenfield facility in Badgerys Creek, New South Wales. This will be a landmark project for both New South Wales and Australia and is due for completion at the end of 2026.
**About the Role**
We're looking for an experienced Planner to undertake schedule control and analysis activities. The role has prime responsibility for reviewing, monitoring, and reporting deviations against the project schedule arising from updates and changes from the Contractor's updated schedules.
This is a site-based role working in Badgerys Creek, Western Sydney.
Ideally you will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or a related field and have experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which includes schedule development, control, and analysis. You should be an excellent problem solver and be able to manage challenges when they arise.
This is a key role in performing the Delivery Partner's (DP) role as the administrator of contracts on behalf of WSACo. In this role you will be fully familiar with the DP contract terms, scope, and requirements and how they relate to the package contract terms and scope. You will work as part of the larger DP package management team to fulfil the DP obligations.
The role involves interfacing with project colleagues, particularly with the assigned package team and engineers, and may have continuing contacts with Project Director, project team members, and working and supervisory level teams members of other departments.
**About You**
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Able to review various project documents and identify various stakeholder and interface requirements.
- Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
- Proficient in Level 3 / 4 planning for construction, commissioning and start up and interface management for large scale complex projects.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, Construction Management or related field with nine years of project controls or planning related work experience. In lieu of Bachelor's degree 15 years of project controls or planning experience.
