Fulton Hogan's Central Region Infrastructure Services team is currently looking for additional resources to support a significant system roll out in the coming months. We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team based in our Mile End office.
About the Role
Working as part of a broader finance team, the Assistant Accountant will be tasked with ensuring the consistent delivery of transactional and analytical reporting requirements to support the business operations.
Responsibilities
* Journal processing (JE adjustments, JF accruals)
* General assistance with operations in interpreting financial data
* P&L and job variance analysis and commentary
* Compilation of job and P&L performance commentary
* Participating in and supporting the upgrading of existing and rolling out of new systems
* Continuous support to our AR and AP functions
How you will connect to the role
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent.
* Commenced CA/CPA or wishing to commence.
* At least 2 years of demonstrated experience working in an accounting role. Experience in the infrastructure or construction industry is highly regarded but not essential.
* Intermediate excel skills, with the ability to perform detailed and insightful analysis.
* Clear communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
* Problem solving skills, whilst showing initiative with workload.
