Become part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.

Who are we looking for? Our Environment group in Tasmania is a team of 22 professionals across three offices, dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions for multidisciplinary projects of all sizes in contamination assessment and remediation across renewable energy, transport, resources, water, defence and other markets.

Position

We are seeking an Environmental Scientist eager to be involved in a variety of projects, including asset transition, landfill gas, groundwater, waste, soil, surface water and petroleum contamination site assessments. This includes monitoring and reporting activities. You will deliver innovative client‑focused solutions and high‑quality projects for our clients, and help to build a robust, skilled, and motivated team capable of sustaining our long‑term success.

Responsibilities

* Use your technical, project management and client relationship skills to contribute and lead technical delivery of environmental contamination and remediation projects.
* Conduct field investigations, data management and technical reporting for contaminated site assessments.
* Provide field and office‑based technical guidance.
* Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.

What you will bring to the team

* Relevant Bachelor's degree in Science (Environmental, Geology, Hydrogeology), with professional experience (ideally 5–10 years) in contamination assessment and remediation in a consulting environment.
* Well‑developed skills in field work, including soil logging, site assessment and monitoring.
* Proficient in field sampling techniques and QA/QC protocol.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience in data management, interpretation, and reporting.
* Experience managing site investigations and sub‑contractors.
* Eligibility to be registered/chartered with relevant professional accreditation and/or body.
* Current Defence security clearance or be eligible to apply for clearance.

We will consider applicants who can work in either our Launceston or Burnie offices for this role.
