**How will I help?**
The Group Treasury, CIO team is responsible for the active management of the risks that arise from Westpac's day-to-day banking activities with customers and its structural balance sheet positions. This includes Westpac Group's interest rate, foreign currency and basis risks, liquid assets portfolio, collateral obligations, short-term funding programs (onshore and offshore) and intraday liquidity risk management.
The key role and responsibilities of the role is outlined below.
- Business delivery lead for the CIO team to manage strategic initiatives and objectives to support customers through the foundation of having strong balance sheet, proactive risk management culture and data informed decisioning.
- The role will be responsible for change management for CIO business, focused on achieving prioritised initiatives, develop road maps and plans, support the portfolio managers to meet deliverables and achieve responsive efficiency and effectiveness.
- The role will support risk mitigation, increasing revenue and profitability.
- The role will work effectively and efficiently across teams, both within and external to Treasury Business, to deliver synergies and efficiencies and meet Group deliverables.
- Within Treasury - Treasury strategic project teams, COO, IRRBB, Liquidity, Treasury Analytics, etc.
- Within Westpac Group - Group Risk, Group Technology, Group Operations, etc.
- Successful delivery of CIO's strategic product initiatives for liquidity management (e.g. Repos), in both Australia and offshore locations.
- Change management for CIO team regulatory mandates, policy change, internal Group changes, and system and business changes

**What do I need?**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- At least 6 years banking experience with current or previous Financial Markets and Treasury knowledge
- Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent negotiating and influencing skills
- Working knowledge of Westpac's risk management frameworks and policies
- Ability to work to tight timeframes, prioritise and manage time across multiple activities
