Primary objective
Provide high-level grounds, infrastructure management and strategic support to ensure the effective management of the fit for purpose National
Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre (NCCTRC) Bees Creek Training facility and delivery of the education and training program.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide advice and high level administrative and strategic support to the Director of Education, NCCTRC and other relevant stakeholders for
the management of the NCCTRC training facility including record management and developing high level reporting and documentation.
2. Provide leadership to the work unit and other stakeholders to ensure a responsive, high quality, safe and cost-effective facilities management
function.
1. Manage all asset functions and programs relevant to the NCCTRC training facilities to ensure compliance with departmental policies,
procedures and standards.
4. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the NCCTRC training facility including but not limited to property, equipment and garden
maintenance and repairs, pest extermination, security and cleaning and associated risk management.
5. Manage minor new works and capital equipment program submissions relevant to the NCCTRC training facilities.
6. Liaise with relevant stakeholders in the delivery of infrastructure projects by coordinating requirements, managing expectations and advising
timeframes.
7. Provide support to the NCCTRC Education team to ensure all training programs are effectively delivered at the Bees Creek facility including
assistance with, pack down, equipment maintenance including readiness of the Education Emergency Medical Team (EMT) training cache.
8. Provide advice to the Director of Education and relevant stakeholders on all practices, processes and aspects of asset management,
maintenance, operation, procurement development and disposal.
9. Ability to work across multiple NCCTRC sites and provide flexible support to various teams as needed.
10. Manage and oversee, the procurement and maintenance of all furniture, machinery, and heavy machinery onsite.
11. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to
ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Selection criteria:
Essential
1. Strong work ethic and commitment to quality outcomes with a high level of initiative, flexibility, strong problem-solving abilities, sound
judgement, motivation, ability to work independently, within a team and prioritise workloads to achieve organisational objectives.
2. Demonstrated high level oral communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills to enable clear communication across all levels with various
stakeholders and across cultural and professional boundaries.
3. Proven experience working as part of a team to navigate complexities, in often challenging and politically sensitive work environments.
4. Function-relevant influencing skills to manage and lead a diverse range of people including the ability to motivate and inspire others to work
together to achieve objectives.
5. Applicants must hold a valid Forklift Licence (LF) and a current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence.
6. Well-developed knowledge of a range of service functions and office software, including Northern Territory Government (NTG) Procurement
and financial administration or similar, minor and major works programs, asset management, governance frameworks, Work Health and Safety
(WHS) policies, reporting, Microsoft (MS) office.
Desirable
1. Trade or tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (trade, management, engineering).
2. Demonstrated ability to manage property or similar.
3. Demonstrated ability to support the NCCTRC when activated during a health emergency response.
