Job Description
You will be partnering closely with the Commercial Manager as a Financial Analyst, developing and maintaining financial models for decision-making processes. Your key duties include analysing financial data, forecasting trends, and providing actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Modelling: Develop comprehensive financial models to support business functions including forecasting, financial planning, and analysis.
2. Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret financial data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and risks or opportunities for the business.
3. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and validate assumptions used in financial models.
4. Scenario Analysis: Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the potential impact of different decisions.
5. Reporting: Generate accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations highlighting key findings and recommendations.
6. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate financial performance, variances, and KPIs to identify improvement areas and revenue opportunities.
7. Industry Update: Stay updated on industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes affecting financial models and forecasts.
8. Ad-Hoc Analysis: Assist in preparing ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as required.
About You
1. A professional qualification (CFA, CA, CPA, or MBA) is preferable but not essential.
2. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including experience with large datasets, What-If Analysis tools, Pivot Tables, Macros.
3. Proven work experience as a Business/Financial Analyst or similar role, demonstrating expertise in financial modelling and analysis.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately.
5. Solid understanding of financial principles, concepts, and accounting practices.
6. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in financial data.
7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
8. Proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a keen interest in continuous improvement and process optimisation.
