You will lead frontend architecture, build complex user-facing applications, guide engineers, and drive performance, scalability, and security across the platform. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving high-impact technical challenges and influencing engineering direction.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Ownership
* Architect, develop, and maintain complex React applications using TypeScript, modern component patterns, hooks, context APIs, and scalable folder structures.
* Design and optimize frontend integrations with AWS services such as Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, SNS/SQS, and optionally Amplify.
* Lead the adoption of best practices for performance (Core Web Vitals), accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), testing, and security.
Engineering Leadership
* Mentor and guide junior/mid-level engineers; conduct high-quality code reviews.
* Shape frontend standards, patterns, reusable components, and design system improvements.
* Collaborate with backend, DevOps, and product to influence technical strategy, API contracts, and architecture decisions.
Quality, Testing & Performance
* Implement strong unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage using Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress/Playwright.
* Own performance optimization: code splitting, lazy loading, caching, bundling strategies, Lighthouse audits.
* Drive observability with CloudWatch dashboards, logging, metrics, and error reporting tools (Sentry/Datadog/New Relic).
Security & Reliability
* Ensure OWASP-compliant frontend security, safe token handling, CSP, and secure communication with AWS services.
* Review threat models for frontend workflows and suggest improvements.
Delivery & Collaboration
* Lead medium- to large-scale features end-to-end from design to deployment.
* Work with Product, Design, and QA to define requirements, technical feasibility, and release plans.
* Contribute to CI/CD improvements (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
Required Qualifications
* Strong understanding of React architecture, hooks, component composition, rendering optimization, and patterns like container/presentational, HOCs, context, and custom hooks.
* Experience building and deploying frontends on AWS (S3 + CloudFront required; Cognito/API Gateway/AWS Amplify preferred).
* Experience with modern state management: Redux Toolkit, Redux .
* Solid background in frontend performance profiling and debugging.
* Strong knowledge of accessibility, responsive design, and UI performance.
* Expertise in testing frameworks (Jest, RTL, Cypress, Playwright).
* Strong Git, branching strategy, CI/CD exposure.
