About the Role
Community and Youth Project Officer at Ipswich City Council will be part of the Community and Sport section and support plans and initiatives aligned with strategic priorities, such as connection, wellbeing, and the empowerment of the Ipswich Youth Advisory Council. The Council's Youth Advisory Council, made up of young people, influences decision‑making and shapes Ipswich communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide community development and support in liaison with community and charitable groups/organisations that are consistent with community needs.
* Coordinate the Ipswich Youth Advisory Council to share young people's voices and enhance local liveability.
* Work collaboratively with other departments to co‑ordinate delivery of programmes, services and initiatives.
* Undertake a range of administrative duties including report writing, correspondence, records management and budgeting monitoring.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification and/or at least 2 years' experience in youth and/or community development or services.
* Working with Children Card (Blue Card).
* Ability to work outside normal hours.
* Excellent organisational skills and a can‑do attitude.

This is a full‑time position with a salary commencing at $93,866 plus 12.5 % superannuation.
