Expressions of interest are invited for appointment as Manager/Operator of the Gold Coast Seniors Tennis Club.
GCSTC is one of the most successful tennis clubs in Australia and is situated at Mermaid Waters on the Gold Coast. It has 14 Synthetic grass courts, 1 Hard court, 2 hotshot courts, 1 clubhouse with a licenced bar, coffee shop and pro shop, a satellite clubhouse, BBQ area and attractive well maintained grounds.
The club has a solid membership base and a high utilisation rate with organised fixtures and social tennis, coaching and annual club championships. We also host tournaments, including the GCS Annual May tournament, State and National tournaments, along with the Pan Pacs, University Games and the Masters games.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the venue operates in a sustainable manner whilst offering a safe, inclusive environment that promotes a healthy lifestyle.
- Manage the club in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
- Develop initiatives to stimulate growth in club membership and promote tennis in the wider community.
- Operate and stock the Club Bar.
- Manage daily court hire and bookings, including online bookings.
- Oversee the coffee shop with varied food options.
- Maintain and present the facility, including grounds, lighting, courts, minor repairs and security.
- Ensure the delivery of tennis programs and services.
- Run regional and sanctioned tournaments on tournament software.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A strong commercial focus.
- Proven ability and experience in managing a tennis facility with staff and coaches.
- A strong tennis background.
- A high level of motivation in running a 7-day-a-week business.
- Solid interpersonal skills.
- A Blue Card certification in working with children.
- A First Aid Certificate.
A Management/Operating agreement will be implemented between the successful applicant and the Gold Coast Seniors Tennis Club. Closing date for receipt of submissions is 31st October 2025.
