Location
The Logistics Specialist will support the warehouse manager and oversee overall warehouse operations at our Lane Cove site. This on-site role involves working within the Logistics & Distribution team.
Key Responsibilities
Support the warehouse L&D manager and coordinate logistics personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
Develop and monitor logistics strategies and performance metrics to improve supply chain operations.
Operate autonomously within established procedures, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Identify and resolve logistical challenges using industry best practices.
Oversee inventory control and shipment scheduling for accuracy and efficiency.
Build relationships with vendors and transportation partners to optimize costs and service quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for resource coordination.
Mentor and train junior team members, promoting cross-training and development.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with international shipping and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields.
Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and independent decision-making skills.
Proficiency with logistics software such as Oracle and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree or certification in supply chain, warehouse management, or logistics.
Experience in the healthcare industry.
