An opportunity is available for an experienced Diesel Fitter - Earth Moving to join a well‑established mining operation in Far North Queensland. This is an ongoing role suited to tradespeople with strong heavy equipment maintenance experience and a commitment to safety.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of heavy diesel earthmoving equipment within an operational mine site environment. The role involves physical work and requires strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and service heavy diesel and earthmoving equipment
* Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs
* Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
* Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
* Work collaboratively with site maintenance teams
* Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
What You'll Need to Succeed
* Trade qualified Diesel Fitter (essential)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a heavy diesel environment
* Experience with earthmoving or mining equipment
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
* Reliable, safety‑focused, and team‑oriented
* C Class Driver's Licence (essential)
* QLD HR Licence (essential)
* Heavy machinery tyre fitting experience (desirable)
* Integrated Tool Carrier ticket (desirable)
