Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Engineer or Project Manager to join their growing business.
Work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on a large-scale demolition project. Other sectors are earthwork, excavation, piling, retention, foundations etc.
Our client provides services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects.
Types of projects include demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $2.5 to $35m+.
Our client is looking for a Project Engineer or a Project Manager who has extensive demolition experience and is either located in the Hunter Region NSW or is on a DIDO basis.
Responsibilities
* Working on tenders
* Planning and scheduling of construction activities
* Management of site project teams
* Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
* Preparation of management reports
* Resolving site issues in a timely manner
* Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
* Coordinating internal and external resources
* Recruitment and mentoring of teams
Qualifications and Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
* 7 – 15+ years' management experience on demolition projects
* Project management qualifications will be advantageous
* Proven understanding of construction with a hands–on approach
* Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
* Effective problem‑solving abilities
* Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
* High level of organisation and time management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
