Fixed Term Salaried Contract until June 2027 Hybrid work environment Based in Bella Vista Supporting the Release Manager on the Core Modernisation project. About the business/role/team The Core Modernisation project is critical for supporting the RBA’s mission “of promoting the economic welfare the Australian people through our monetary and financial policies and operations” It enables the IT strategy of standardising, simplifying and automating the bank’s infrastructure Minimising risk through the introduction of new data centre and modernised infrastructure About the role The Release Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and governing the release of business‑critical applications, including application migrations from legacy data centres to cloud and new data centre platforms, ensuring minimal risk and high‑quality outcomes. With sound knowledge of ITSM tools (Service Now, JIRA), the Release Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and management of software and infrastructure releases across various environments within the project. This role involves close collaboration with Release Manager and project team to development and maintain a release schedule for the program delivering with high quality releases. Key Responsibilities Plan and manage the end‑to‑end release lifecycle, including scheduling, coordination, and governance. Coordinate releases for business‑critical applications across multiple environments. Support data centre exit and cloud migration releases, including cutover and stabilisation activities. Collaborate with Change Management, project teams, developers, testers, and vendors to ensure release readiness. Identify, manage, and mitigate release risks and dependencies. Facilitate release readiness reviews, go/no‑go decisions, and post‑release reviews. Ensure accurate release documentation, artefacts, and reporting. Monitor release performance and drive continuous improvement of release processes. Communicate release status, impacts, and issues to all stakeholders. Required Experience Minimum 4 years of experience in release coordination, with a strong track record of managing complex, large-scale migration programs. Strong understanding of release governance, risk management, and change processes. Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
