Position Overview:
At PlaySide, we believe that great games aren't just built, but grown alongside their communities. We are looking for a Community & Social Manager who lives and breathes the gaming landscape. You won't just be \"posting updates\"; you will be the bridge between our development team's vision and our players' passion. Whether you're deep in the Steam forums, leading the charge on Discord, or live on Instagram, your goal is to build a community rooted in transparency, respect, and high‐quality engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the voice of PlaySide across all player‐facing channels (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Steam, Discord, X, Twitch, etc.), driving active discussion and fostering a positive, inclusive environment.
* Champion the \"player voice\" internally by translating community sentiment and trends into actionable weekly reports that help developers prioritize fixes and QoL features.
* Develop and publish authentic community materials, including dev letters, patch notes, and roadmaps, to provide clear and direct updates on what is coming, what is delayed, and the reasoning behind those decisions.
* Design and execute community strategies, including live events, competitions, influencer integrations, and creator partnerships to drive long‐term player retention.
* Produce engaging social content (short/long‐form video and statics).
* Partner with Marketing and Dev teams to align community activities with business goals and ensure a united PlaySide brand vision.
* Establish and maintain community guidelines and moderation policies to protect the brand's integrity and cultivate a safe, welcoming player ecosystem.
What you bring to the table:
* Experience in building, managing, and growing online communities, with a proven track record in community management.
* Deep knowledge of social media and online platforms, particularly in gaming spaces (X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, Twitch, Discord, Steam, etc.)
* Ability to translate raw community sentiment into data‐backed insights, \"surfacing the truth\" behind player feedback to help our dev teams prioritize improvements.
* Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to draft clear materials, from technical patch notes and roadmaps to engaging long‐form dev letters.
* Hands‐on proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Premiere Pro).
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across art, design, and production teams to ensure a united vision for the PlaySide brand.
* A proactive \"ownership\" mentality with the organizational skills to manage tight deadlines and navigate the fast‐paced, dynamic nature of a top‐tier game studio.
