In this role, you will be part of a dynamic group responsible for the assessment and review of over 500 development applications (DA's) per year across an area of approximately 290km2. You will encounter a diverse range of projects, from residential and commercial to industrial and rural developments.

* Competitive Salary: From $91,252 to $99,464 plus super (based on qualifications and experience)
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Coordinator Development Assessment, key responsibilities include:
* Reviewing and assessing development applications (DA's).
* Providing advice on development proposals and land use matters.
* Conducting on-site inspections of developments and land.
* Collaborating with various stakeholders, including the general public, developers, elected representatives, and other Council staff.
About you:
* Recognised tertiary qualifications in townplanning.
* Prior experience in a similar role within Development Assessment
* A valid driver's license.
* Knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, the Local Government Act, and relevant environmental legislation.
* High level communication and problem-solving skills.
* Eligibility for Corporate membership with the Planning Institute Australia.
