Overview
SA Power Networks is seeking an experienced Connections Engineer to join our Asset Investment function. The successful applicant will drive and manage generation and Integrated Resource System (IRS) impact assessments on the electricity distribution network, which may include dynamic studies for large-embedded generators, generator testing and generator model validation as part of due diligence review of Generator Performance Standards (GPS) to ensure connections are compliant with all the system security obligations and electricity rules. You'll play a key role in providing strategic and operational commercially focused engineering expertise on network planning and supporting the development of generation regulatory standards and compliance.

About you
Your skills and experience will include:
* Degree in Electrical, Electronic, IT or Mechatronic Engineering, that will allow admission as Corporate Member of Institute of Engineers, Australia
* Current SA Drivers Licence
* Experience in electrical dynamic power systems analysis, stability concepts and assessment techniques
* Experience in resolving modelling, generator and system performance, or non-compliance issues, in a commercially minded and risk managed manner.
* Experience in power systems analysis simulation applications such as PSCAD, PSSE, SINCAL as well as other analytical software;
