Queensland Pathways State College (QPSC) offers a senior transitions program for young people in grades 10 to 12 who face significant barriers in accessing mainstream education. We actively identify, develop and facilitate clear pathways to post-school education, training or employment, while focusing on student-centred learning, student wellbeing, vocational development and community partnerships.
We cater for a diverse range of student needs including young people who have:
* mental health concerns
* homelessness
* social isolation
* medical conditions
* behaviour issues
* previous enrolments in multiple schools
* low literacy/numeracy skills
* years out of schooling
Our primary focus is to assist in the development of students' literacy and numeracy skills and address the barriers that prevent them from engaging in a mainstream school. QPSC focuses on essential subjects such as literacy, numeracy and workplace skills, while also teaching students how to grow their sense of self through an evidence-based wellbeing program called SWEL (Social skills, Work skills, Emotional skills, and Life skills).
With 9 campuses across Queensland, each location is uniquely designed to meet the specific needs of its community. Our classrooms and learning environments are tailored to promote engagement and motivate students, helping them feel respected, valued, and confident in their academic journey.

This applicant pool is open for current permanent employees of the department that are interested in opportunities at a Queensland Pathways State College, across the various campuses in Queensland, and meet the mandatory employment requirements as detailed in the attached role descriptions. o Demonstrate how your previous and current experience and teaching capability will ensure you're a highly effective teacher, supporting the needs of all the students at Queensland Pathways State College.

* A brief resume, no more than 3 pages and including two referees (one being a current supervisor)
* Prior approval from your current supervisor/Principal to be released from their current position
Applicants must possess:
* Permanent employment as a Teacher with the Queensland Department of Education
* A relevant teaching qualification.
* Current full or provisional registration with QCT. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher.
