In return you will be a valued team member, be offered flexibility and experience a meaningful career in an exciting, ever‐evolving aviation industry.The Role & The Team: As aSenior Telecommunications Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing support, management and enhancement of Airservices' mission‐critical telecommunications infrastructure. This includessatellite and microwave systems, long‐haul links, IP network components, and the broader communications backbone that enables safe air navigation and aviation rescue fire‐fighting operations across Australia.You will lead investigations into system issues, deliver corrective actions, improve performance and reliability, and ensure compliance withCASA, ICAO and internal technical and safety standards. You'll contribute to new system design, lead and review test plans, develop technical documentation, and provide professional engineering advice across the organisation.The Network Services team is known for its strong technical capability and deep commitment to operational excellence. The team takes pride in delivering reliable, high‐quality telecommunications services that support national aviation operations every day.You are a proactive telecommunications engineer who thrives in complex technical environments and is comfortable working under limited direction. You bring strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to safety and quality. You enjoy solving technical problems, improving systems, and working collaboratively with engineers, technicians, project teams and external vendors.The successful applicant will have:Demonstrated experience supporting complex telecommunications systems, including satellite, microwave, or IP networksStrong capability in systems engineering, including change control, requirements analysis, and lifecycle documentationAbility to analyse performance, troubleshoot system defects, and implement corrective actions in safety‐critical environmentsPractical experience preparing and reviewing specifications, test plans, procedures and technical documentationStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations and project stakeholdersSound judgement, problem‐solving skills and the ability to work with autonomy in high‐responsibility environmentsSecurity To be eligible to apply, you must be an Australian Citizen as an ASIC is required for this role.
