Darling Downs Respiratory & Sleep Clinic is a private specialist practice in Toowoomba, seeking a full time highly motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team. This exciting opportunity to join our team is focused on providing exceptional customer service while assisting in the smooth running of the practice. Applicants must have experience in medical administration and experience with Genie program is essential. This role provides some autonomy so it is vital that you be self-directed, reliable, have attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Applicants will provide confidential and professional administrative support to a number of specialists at our practice. This is a diverse role where you will be dealing directly with patients and, assisting physicians on our team. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and a positive attitude are essential, as is the ability to work well in a team environment. You will be required to provide:
• Excellent computer literacy skills. Experience with Genie is essential
• Excellent customer service and confident communication skills over the phone and in person
• The ability to prioritise workload and multitask
• Manage the daily operational requirements of running a busy clinic, supporting the clinicians and their patients;

• Taking incoming calls and assisting with general enquiries/providing information appropriately
• Diary management
• Responding to email enquiries
• General scanning, filing, correspondence and meticulous data entry
• Booking patient appointments and appropriate follow up, ensuring patients have appropriate paperwork and maintaining the appointment booking system
• Processing patient billing (private billing practice)
Renumeration: A competitive rate will be negotiated with the right candidate, based on experience. The role will commence in January 2026, with training required prior to start date.
