Disability Support Worker (Community and SIL houses)

Kimberley Care Group is currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Aged or Disability Support Workers to join our team in Geraldton to support NDIS participants in our SIL house and out in the community.
Position: Disability Support Worker
Location: Broome, WA 6725
Salary/hourly wage: Highly competitive and the market leader for care staff remuneration in the Mid-West (something we're very proud of).
Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience and penalty rates for weekend and public holiday work)

Responsibilities:
* Provide personalised care and support to individuals with disabilities in our SIL (Supported Independent Living) home
* Support clients to access the community daily and assist NDIS participants with travel, including supporting those whose true home is outside Broome
* Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility assistance
* Administer medications and support medical appointments as needed
* Foster meaningful social interactions and companionship
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure client well-being
* Maintain accurate records and documentation
* Help clients set and achieve personal goals
* Provide transport, attend appointments, and advocate for NDIS participants and aged care clients
* Arrange social activities and assist with household tasks such as cleaning, meals, and showering
* Coordinate and implement individual care plans following NDIS and Aged Care guidelines
Requirements:
* Access to a reliable vehicle
* Preferred: Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Care, or relevant qualification
* Preferred: Experience in aged care or disability support
* Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and evening/night shifts (for SIL support)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassionate and patient demeanor
* Ability to work effectively in a team
* Willing to undergo background checks and obtain necessary clearances
