We are seeking talented individuals to join our Finance team. You will be part of a highly skilled team focused on financial accounting related functions, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance of agency financial transactions aligned with regulatory standards.
Our Financial Services teams support the agency's effective financial management and strategic planning by offering insights into financial health and performance. The directorate's financial accounting teams provide:
* Recording, summarising, and reporting financial transactions.
* Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets and income and cash flow statements.
* Ensuring accuracy and compliance to accounting standards and regulations.
* Analysing financial data, managing ledgers, and providing insights into performance for effective decision making.
We offer various levels of roles, each with unique responsibilities:
Roles and Responsibilities
* Level 3 Accounts Officer: Organises and processes accounts payable transactions, cheque management, bank transaction functions, reconciles payroll deductions, and supports accounts receivable operations.
* Level 4 Senior Finance Officer: Ensures timely and efficient delivery of Financial Accounting and Reporting services, including asset accounting, general ledger maintenance, reconciliation activities, and Statutory Reporting obligations.
* Level 5 Financial Accountant: Oversees internal and external Financial Reporting Obligations, Tax Obligations, and Asset Management function, developing and maintaining relevant financial and accounting policies, guidelines, and procedures.
* Level 6 Senior Financial Accountant: Coordinates and prepares monthly reporting, annual financial statements, reviews monthly balance sheet reconciliation, and develops and maintains policies consistent with whole-of-government policies and relevant accounting standards and legislation.
