Job Role: Maintenance Specialist
Maintenance specialists are pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of complex machinery and equipment. Their key responsibility is to maintain, repair, and optimize equipment performance while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* To guarantee maximum machine uptime at minimum cost through effective preventative maintenance strategies.
* Collaborate with plant engineers and team leaders to prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
* Implement a total quality approach across the site, driving continuous improvement and excellence in all duties.
* Maximize resource utilization and ensure high-quality maintenance standards are consistently met.
* Accurately record and manage spare parts, ensuring timely procurement and storage.
* Participate actively in objective-driven process engineering strategies, aligned with production and engineering management's clear objectives and performance indicators.
* Maintain the plant register, providing critical information and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
* Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments.
* Desirable engineering qualifications include apprenticeships, NVQ Level three, and HNCs.
* Practical experience with machinery such as PLC-controlled equipment, packaging machinery, pneumatic controls, and other related systems.
