Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Attendance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional administrative and communication skills, proficiency in Excel and other database software.
This role is responsible for ensuring students are engaged in a supportive learning environment by monitoring attendance, producing absence reports, and liaising with students, teachers, and parents/caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
* Generate daily reports on absenteeism, send SMS messages to parents/caregivers, advise and follow up with teachers, and document relevant information on an Excel spreadsheet and on OneSchool.
* Produce a 'Daily Attendance Report' every morning and provide it to all teaching staff and deputy principals, advising teachers of amendments to attendance records due to late notification.
* Collect and coordinate data to determine and document reasons for absences by chronically absent students, monitor student programs, and provide information to teachers and school leaders where necessary.
* Maintain a database listing students who are independent, residing with carers, or facing legal issues that may impact attendance.
* Monitor attendance to increase awareness of students experiencing problems and provide advice to assist teachers with managing non-attendance issues.
