We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Brisbane, AU.
About the Role:
* Capacity building programs will be designed and coordinated in the home and community environments.
* A supervisory and mentor role will support less experienced team members.
* Interventions specific to a neurological caseload will be undertaken, including physical and cognitive rehab post-stroke, ABI, cerebral palsy, congenital disorders, and progressive diseases.
* Participants, their supporters, and families will be educated on strategies to increase occupational engagement and performance.
* The home environment will be modified to suit individual needs and facilitate independence.
* Assistive technology will be prescribed and acquired for home and community access.
* Funding bodies will be advocated to support clients' needs and their support networks.
Caseloads will include NDIS, Home Care Packages, DVA, Private Health, Transitional Care Program & CRST (Queensland Health).
Requirements:
* A Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
* At least 4 years' experience in the NDIS space and community care is necessary.
* An AHPRA certificate and professional insurance must be held.
* Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients are essential.
* NDIS experience is mandatory.
* Self-driven, autonomous, and disciplined individuals are preferred.
* Patient-oriented professionals are ideal.
