What You'll Do In the role of Systems Engineer: Architecting, your duties will include: Developing and designing high-level system architectures that meet project goals, requirements, and technical specifications. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, system requirements, and operational goals. Creating and documenting system architectures, design specifications, and implementation strategies. Ensuring systems are scalable, maintainable, and adaptable to changing needs. Analyzing and addressing system constraints, performance trade-offs, and security considerations. Leading the integration of subsystems and technologies to create a unified architecture. Defining system interfaces and ensuring component interoperability. Collaborating with engineering teams during development and deployment. Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies. Providing technical leadership and guidance throughout the architecture development process. Requirements Must be a US or Australian citizen. Must possess an active US Top Secret/SCI w/ Polygraph or AUS PV Clearance. Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 7+ years of experience supporting large systems and sub-systems. Proven experience in designing and architecting complex systems, preferably in mission-critical environments. Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, architecture frameworks, and lifecycle management. Expertise in system integration, interface design, and technology selection. Ability to balance technical, operational, and strategic requirements. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices (e.g., TOGAF, ISO/IEC). Experience with modeling tools (e.g., SysML, UML) and architectural design tools. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. This position is located in Alice Springs and is expected to be onsite 100%.
